The problem
Dispatchers already knew the number. New accounts googled “West Side diesel” or “fleet mechanic San Antonio” and landed on a chain with a downtown suite and a 1-800.
The yard opens before the city. The old site showed weekday office hours, a stock engine photo, and no gate. Night drivers could not tell if anyone was on the lot.
The approach
Plain service pages: PM, brakes, aftertreatment, mobile if they roll, in-yard if they do not. Hours the yard actually keeps — including the early window — written like a dispatcher would read them.
Google Business points at this gate, this gravel, this West Side. No downtown mail drop. Copy names the streets the trucks already use.
What we made
A yard site a dispatcher can open at 4 a.m.
01Service pages in plain type. What the bay does, what it does not, and how soon a truck can get in — no “solutions” copy.
02Hours for the real shift. Early open, Saturday if they run it, after-hours note for the night number.
03Map to the gate. Pin and photo of this lot so a new driver does not hunt a suite downtown.
04West Side search. Titles and the Google listing match “West Side” and fleet — not a city-wide mechanic farm.
The result
A site a night dispatcher can open with one thumb: services, the gate, and a number that rings the yard. New accounts stop asking if they “also do diesel.”
The first trucks still roll before downtown wakes up. Now the listing says so.
If they cannot find the gate at 4 a.m., they will call someone else.
